Providing an exhaustive list of musical styles or subgenres does not seem relevant to me in order to present the various influences behind the production.What seems relevant to me is rather not limiting oneself to the expressive possibilities offered by a defined number of musical genres.
The possibilities are endless in the musicalization of a discourse, and finding the right formula to meet your expectations usually involves a hybridization of musical genres.
Indeed, i love the fiery bass riffs of funk, the rich synth layers found in cold/dark wave, the sharp melodies of disco, but also the freedom that emerges from a jazz jam, or the emotional intensity that bass music gives me. Just like the precise, poetic-yet-real lyrics of french variety and rap.But all of that reflects my personal influences…The influences of the production, however, are built every day, shaped by the projects it encounters and nourished by them.
They are neither fixed nor easily defined, and resolutely multicultural.
